Unfortunately, our recent stay at the Waldorf Astoria Berlin to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary fell short of expectations and negatively impacted our special occasion.

One particular staff member was coarse. When we attempted to redeem a voucher our children gifted us for our stay, he swore under his breath within earshot. The voucher clearly stated its use for accommodation, yet the staff member initially denied us its redemption.

Our overall impression was that the hotel staff seemed generally unhappy and easily frustrated by guest requests. This lack of hospitality starkly contrasted with what we expect from a prestigious hotel like the Waldorf Astoria Berlin.

The entire experience was disappointing, leaving a permanent blemish on what should have been a joyous occasion. We strongly recommend considering other hotels that prioritise guest satisfaction and uphold a welcoming atmosphere.
